How to Locate Wholesale Products for Free to Sell on eBay

Too good to be true? Is there a catch? Yes, you really can obtain items at no cost to sell on eBay. Read on for the details....

There is a new website in which people list items they are giving away for free. The sites are located across the country and all you have to invest is the time to pick up the products. The website is called FreeCycle. Do a Google Search to obtain their web address.

The FreeCycle Network is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It's a grassroots movement of people who give (and receive) things for free in their own towns. Each local group is run by a volunteer moderator and membership is free. You can go directly to the website for your local group by clicking on community links at the FreeCycle website.

FreeCycle was started in May 2003 to promote waste reduction in Tucson, Arizona's downtown area and help save their beautiful desert landscape from being taken over by landfills. It provides individuals and non profit groups an electronic forum to "recycle" unwanted items. This site can be used to get rid of excess items in your house and garage, as well as getting items you can resell for a large profit on eBay. Obtaining a steady stream of items at no cost to sell on eBay can jumpstart a new eBay business; or it can add an additional revenue stream to your current eBay sales.

Online Auctions Discover 6 Myths Surrounding Them

Online Auctions are unmistakably among the hottest e-Sourcing technologies on the Inteet business today. But what exactly is an online auction anyway and what are its benefits? According to The Pocket Oxford Dictionary, fourth edition (1942), an auction is a "public sale in which articles are sold to the highest bidder." And if done on Inteet it is online auction.

Online auctions create a competitive advantage because they make it relatively simple for Procurement managers to negotiate on all corporate purchases and create better deals.

Let us see some common myths surrounding online auctions:

MYTH #1: Only very familiar, particular or consistent items can be auctioned:

The myth came into being because no one understood how to measure criteria other than price. Total cost auctions take price and no-price factors, such as delivery time or customer service, into account, and they allow a customer to weight each factor accordingly. This is only a myth because when someone with sourcing expertise takes a creative approach to defining or breaking down the item in question, that item or its components can generally be auctioned.

MYTH # 2: Auctions are only effective when there is a level playing field:

This is false since a level playing field simply doesn't exist. And, not all suppliers are alike. Face-to-face negotiations have long proven this fact. Procurement managers can now normalize for differences (e.g., customer service, warranty terms, delivery cost, etc.) using Web-based technology. In effect, these technologies measure total cost allow customers to compare apples-to-oranges.

MYTH #3: Only Inteet-savvy suppliers can participate in an Online auction:

Today, the majority of legitimate suppliers have access to computers. The myth that only inteet-savvy suppliers can participate in an online auction is wrong. In order to participate in an Inteet based online auction, the suppliers merely need to be able to log on to the Inteet, log in to a web site, and log their bids. It's just very simple. Suppliers don't have to know how to navigate the World Wide Web or use any sophisticated search engines to participate.

MYTH #4: Maximum benefits could be derived only if large number of suppliers participate:

For any online auction, competition is a must and you must create a competitive environment, no matter if the suppliers is 4 or 400. Inteet auctions put the business "up for bid." Incumbents are wise to take notice. Once existing suppliers believe that the buyer really will change where he takes his business, a competitive environment is created. Thus concrete results for online auctions occur irrelevant to number of suppliers.

MYTH #5: Only products are auctioned?

Not true - in fact, services are also auctioned. Services such as Telemarketing services, Cellular phone services, Security services, and temporary labor services are all good examples. For example, a particular auction site held an auction for telemarketing services that resulted in an 18% cost reduction. The auction involved over 60 suppliers and more than 700 bids. The study shows that apart from products, services can also be auctioned.

MYTH # 6:Auctions are carried out only once in a year:

Event online auctions are generally used for categories of goods and services that require a long-term contract (say one year). These will achieve better results if auctioned year (or less). For example, a buyer may auction off the purchase of 10,000 PCs over a two-year period.

It is important for all to expand their concept of what can be auctioned, as long as the value of each item is 'elastic' enough to preclude fixed pricing. Once they have done that, the possibilities are almost endless.

Make Money On EBay While Others Are Scratching Their Heads

Aaargh! Why is my competition getting way more hits than mine?

There are several reasons why, but I hope to explain at least the major reason.

Poor titles with a lack of highly targeted keywords

The majority of eBay sellers are completely unaware that they are jeopardising their success through lack of knowledge. Knowledge is POWER and the most effective way to power-pack your auctions is to use highly targeted keywords in your auction titles and descriptions...

Let's start with your title …

eBay estimates that over 90% of users search eBay by using the basic search feature which means they only search the auction titles.

So what does this mean for me?

Above all else ... it means focus more on your auction titles first and foremost and then consider integrating those same highly targeted keywords into your auction descriptions.

So where do you find these highly targeted keywords and which ones should you use?

The best place to start is with 'eBay Pulse' http://pulse.ebay.com/ and browse through the top popular searches in the category where you would like to list your auction using the Category drop-down box. Jot down the list of the top 10.

Now the number of words allowed in your auction titles is limited so be sure to find several popular search terms that you can easily integrate into your auction title remembering to make it sound interesting also – not just a swag of keywords!

You can generally assume that on average, people search for the same terms on eBay as they do in search engines. In light of this, to see how valuable your chosen keywords really are I suggest using the Overture Keyword Selector Tool at http://inventory.overture.com/d/searchinventory/suggestion/ to see how popular those keywords/search terms are by the estimated number of times they were searched for in all the major search engines for the past month.

Please bear in mind that these results are not entirely accurate, however they will give you an overview of which keywords are the most important and will be searched for the most.

Enter each search term separately and from the results jot down the top 5 search phrase results for each of the keywords.

Another hot tip is with eBay itself. Go ahead and search for similar items to which you want to list and take note of 3 things.

1. The title at the top of the page – here eBay lists other highly targeted words for your item.

2. Undeeath the search box (depending on what you have searched for) you will see 'related searches' which can give you more ideas.

3. Be sure to click the check box on the left hand side for 'completed items' and then click the search button and have a look for items that have sold similar to yours. When the results are retued, click the column title called 'price' to sort by final price.

Make note of the most successful sales and look at their titles. (As a side note, it pays to look at what category they listed in and also anything you can lea from their description, layout etc – remembering of course not to copy their text or photos).

Now you're ready to strategically integrate those highly targeted keywords & phrases into your auction titles to drive highly targeted traffic to your auctions.

Remember, as I mentioned earlier, be sure to make full use of the best keywords but the title must make sense and be inviting (not just a list of keywords that will get your auction deleted for keyword spamming) – You need to be creative, after all you may get hundreds of visitors from searches but you still need them to click on your title!

Ebay And The Advent Of Cybercash

Gone are the days when only cash (or cattle in some cases) was the only accepted mode of payment for trades. As the concept of trading evolves, so does the means of paying for items.

TodayÂ's electronic world pushes the envelop further. With the advent of online trading systems such as eBay, many new forms of payment have flourished.

First of all, on eBay, the mode of payment depends on the agreement of the buyer and the seller. Most often, the seller will specify his or her desired payment method. In these cases, the seller often has primacy in the decisions regarding payment modes. However, the buyer may still communicate with the seller regarding a viable alteative if it suits both parties.

The following is a list of common eBay payment modes.

Cash On Delivery
Cash is, after all, still cash. This payment method can be done through a third party courier system or by the buyer and seller meeting each other at an agreed place. The advantage of such is that the exchange of item for payment is done in the presence of the buyer and the seller (or the sellerÂ's representative). However, some people will qualm over the risk present when two strangers meet.

Personal Check
One popular method of payment is personal check. Writing checks is easy and safe. However, many sellers do not like accepting check because they are easy to cancel.

PayPal
PayPal is the payment of choice on eBay. In fact, eBay owns PayPal.

Using PayPal is easy, convenient, and relatively safe. PayPal acts as like an inteet Â'wire transfer.Â'

After signing up for PayPal, one may send cash over to anyone with an email address using the PayPal system. PayPal also has security features that safeguards against fraud in case there is dispute between the seller and the buyer. This system is best for transactions up to $1000.

Escrow.com
Escrow.com is the payment of choice for purchases over $500. Escrow.com holds the buyerÂ's money from the seller until the seller delivers the item. Only then will the funds be released to the seller. This system makes for a very safe, although highly procedural transaction.

Wire Transfer
This is the payment of choice for countries that do not carry the PayPal service. Wire transfers are risky because the buyer usually has to wire over the funds before the seller sends the items. The chance for non-delivery of items is high.

Other Payment Systems
The number of third party payment services is steadily on the rise. Their systems for payment vary. However, to be successful they must be convenient to use and safe as well.

An eBay Seller s Checklist for Success

Being a seller is a lot of responsibility, and sometimes you might feel like you're not doing everything you should be. This simple checklist will help you keep on top of things.

Have you found out everything you possibly could about your items? Try typing their names into a search engine – you might find out something you didn't know. If someone else is selling the same thing as you, then always try to provide more information about it than they do. Do you monitor the competition? Always keep an eye on how much other items the same as or similar to yours are selling, and what prices they're being offered at. There's usually little point in starting a fixed price auction for £100 when someone else is selling the item for £90.

Have you got pictures of the items? It's worth taking the time to photograph your items, especially if you have a digital camera. If you get serious about eBay but don't have a camera, then you will probably want to invest in one at some point.

Are you emailing your sellers? It's worth sending a brief email when transactions go through: something like a simple "Thank you for buying my item, please let me know when you have sent the payment". Follow this up with "Thanks for your payment, I have posted your [item name] today". You will be surprised how many problems you will avoid just by communicating this way.

Also, are you checking your emails? Remember that potential buyers can send you email about anything at any time, and not answering these emails will just make them go somewhere else instead of buying from you.

Do your item description pages have everything that buyers need to know? If you're planning to offer inteational delivery, then it's good to make a list of the charges to different counties and display it on each auction. If you have any special terms and conditions (for example, if you will give a refund on any item as long as it hasn't been opened), then you should make sure these are displayed too.

Have you been wrapping your items correctly? Your wrapping should be professional for the best impression: use appropriately sized envelopes or parcels, wrap the item in bubble wrap to stop it from getting damaged, and print labels instead of hand-writing addresses. Oh, and always use first class post – don't be cheap.

Do you follow up? It is worth sending out an email a few days after you post an item, saying "Is everything alright with your purchase? I hope you received it and it was as you expected." This might sound like giving the customer an opportunity to complain, but you should be trying to help your customers, not take their money and run.

Being a really good eBay seller, more than anything else, is about providing genuinely good and honest customer service. That's the only foolproof way to protect your reputation.

Doing It eBay An eBay Business Means Fun and Profits in a Global Marketplace

In 1995, when Pierre Omidyar introduced an online business venue that was essentially a virtual garage sale with auction pricing, no one knew a retailing revolution was about to occur. That site became known as eBay, and it's hard to find someone today who hasn't at least heard about the popular online auction company.

What's important to understand from the start is that eBay is a sales channel that you can use exclusively or in addition to selling through a retail operation, mail order catalog, independent Web site, or network of direct salespeople. You decide the type of business you want to have, what type of merchandise you're going to sell, and how you're going to operate.

To sell on eBay, you'll pay a listing fee to post your merchandise and a final value fee (a small percentage of the sale price) when the item sells. For the current eBay fee schedule, check the eBay site.

What can you sell on eBay?

Though eBay is a popular place for the sale of used items ranging from high-dollar antiques to second-hand junk, it's also a venue for brand-new, up-to-the-minute merchandise of all types and in all price ranges. Deciding what to sell on eBay can be particularly challenging because your options are virtually limitless. Some of the more popular categories of items are cars, computers, consumer electronics, books, movies, music, sports items, collectibles, clothing and accessories.

As you take the first step of deciding what to sell on eBay, keep these points in mind:

· Have an interest in the product. Don't choose a product based on potential profits alone; be sure it's something you'll enjoy working with.

· Cost and sale price. How much will the item cost you and how much can you reasonably expect to sell it for?

· Availability. Is the merchandise readily available or will you risk having to deal with supply problems?

· Storage. Do you have room to store the merchandise?

· Packing and shipping. Consider what is involved in packing and shipping the merchandise. Even though the buyer typically pays the shipping costs, think about your labor, time, and potential breakage.

· Seasonal issues. Will the item sell year-round or be subject to seasonal fluctuations?

How do you sell on eBay?

You have a variety of ways to sell on eBay. In addition to the traditional basic auction, where you post your item with a starting price and wait for bidders to drive the price up, you can use a number of other pricing features and auction types. In addition to auctions, you can also set up your own eBay store, which will allow you to sell auction and fixed-price merchandise from your special location on eBay. You'll pay a monthly fee based on the level of store services you want, plus additional fees for items listed and sold.

The technical side of eBay

eBay has evolved into one of the most user-friendly sites on the Inteet. Getting set up as a user is a simple process that you can complete in just a few minutes. You will be required to provide your name, address, e-mail, and telephone number, as well as a credit card number and your checking account information. eBay uses this information to confirm your identity, which protects the integrity of their operation, and to collect auction fees. If your contact information changes, be sure to notify eBay immediately.

You must register to buy or sell on eBay, but you can browse around the site without registering. Before you do any business on eBay, take the time to get to know the site. Set aside several hours to get online and browse around, study listings, read the help pages, understand the various tools and how you can use them, check out the forums, and get comfortable with how the site works.

Once your business is up and running, you'll probably want to consider using supplemental auction management software, which will save time and money, make you more efficient, and improve the level of customer service you offer.

Getting started as an eBay seller

Start off by buying a few things, then start selling, posting just one or two auctions at a time until you're comfortable with how the process works. You'll make mistakes, especially in the beginning, but if you lea from them they'll be worth the cost.

Keep in mind that eBay is ever-changing. As the economy cycles, you'll experience changes in pricing and demand. And as more people start operating on eBay, the competition will increase and prices may decline slightly (great when you're buying, but not when you're selling).

If you plan to make selling on eBay a full-time business, expect to work hard. Though there is plenty of money to be made on eBay, it's not a get-rich-quick or easy deal. You'll invest as much time and energy as you would in a traditional retail operation--but your potential for profits is greater.

Don't be intimated by the sheer size of the operation, and keep in mind that eBay has reached less than ten percent of its potential market—which means there is plenty of room for you. So find your eBay niche, get online, and watch your business grow.

Are There Any Ebay Secrets That Are Worth Buying

If you look around a little on the web, youÂ'll no doubt come across people trying to sell you ebooks about eBayÂ's Â'secretsÂ' for as much as $20. HereÂ's a sample:

Â"Along with 400,000 other excited eBay fanatics I now make a living using the Inteet and eBay. I can go days without ever speaking to a single customer, but I have a world wide customer base. My online business runs like a well oiled machine with a part-time effort!Â"

You too can get such valuable tips as:

Â"All you need to do is write a list of questions other people would pay to get the answers to, give that list to a friend, have the friend call you on the phone and ask you those questions, record the call, have the recording transcribed, and edit the transcription! Presto - you've just created a Â'meatyÂ' ebook fast!Â"

So What Do These Books Contain?

DonÂ't be deceived by the slick sales copy and promises of Â'automatic sales machinesÂ' and unique sales strategies. Most of these Â'winning money-making strategiesÂ' boil down to the same thing. Follow their advice, and youÂ'll be writing long, old-fashioned sales copy in an effort to sell shoddily-written downloadable ebooks to gullible souls, either directly through eBay or by trying to redirect people through your About Me page to your website.

The theory is that the rubbish ebooks will sell themselves, and you wonÂ't have to do a thing.

HereÂ's a question to ask yourself: if these Â'secretsÂ' work so well, then why arenÂ't the ebooks authors spending every hour they have putting them into practice, instead of trying to sell you ebooks? If these secrets were so valuable, then why would they give them away for that price, or any price? Out of charity? Yeah, right.

HereÂ's the reality: trying to sell ebooks on eBay or anywhere else is very likely to get you nowhere, and fast. The bottom fell out of the ebook market a long time ago – in fact, itÂ's doubtful whether it ever had a bottom to begin with. The ebooks are an effort to get to you sign up for all sorts of services, making money for the ebooksÂ' writers each time. In short, the only way to profit from Â'secrets of eBayÂ' ebooks is to be selling them, not buying them – and do you really want to become a con artist?

If youÂ'd like to take a look at one of these ebooks, try searching for the name and picking through results. The chances are youÂ'll find an excerpt or review – and if itÂ's not by someone trying to sell you the ebook then it wonÂ't be a favourable view. The fact that most ebooks you buy for $20 come with unlimited resale rights should tip you off if nothing else does.

ItÂ's All Out There for Free.

You can almost any information that someone might be trying to sell you in an ebook for free using a search engine, if you take the time. Ebooks arenÂ't worth the paper theyÂ're not printed on.

If youÂ'd like a real way to make more money, look out for our next email: weÂ'll show you how and when to use eBayÂ's powerful Â'Second Chance OfferÂ' feature.

Ebay And Dropshipping A Marriage Made In Heaven

eBay is the 'BEST' opportunity you can use right now to make money online in the dropshipping business from the comfort of your own home.

Thousands of people just like you use eBay auctions on a daily basis to sell and buy products on the Inteet; now it's your time to START your own dropshipping home-based business and succeed in the eBay auctions 'game'!

There are no special skills required for this dropshipping business, all you need is a computer, Inteet access and some basic computer / Inteet knowledge.

Dropshipping is when you sell products on the Web, forward the orders to the dropship supplier and, in retu, the dropshipper ships the product to your customer (buyer).

You act as the middleman between the dropshipping supplier and your buyer. You can take orders by credit card, PayPal fax or any other method you can think of. You can sell via your own Web Site, Yahoo store, or even through e-mails.

Your profit is generated on the difference between your selling price and the price the dropshipping supplier charges you.

Thanks to dropshipping you can start making money 'instantly' without any investment in inventory, warehousing, shipping, equipment, employees or office space.

Having products drop shipped by suppliers, allows you to concentrate on truly important aspects like advertising, sales and promotion.

Pay attention! There are lots of companies claiming to be 'Drop Shippers'. However, a legitimate drop shipper is a factory-authorized wholesale distributor, or sometimes the actual manufacturer of the product. A legitimate drop shipper should not charge you an 'account setup fee' or ask you to place a 'minimum quantity order'.

Make sure you find legitimate drop shippers who have the product(s) you want to sell, talk with them on the phone or by e-mail and let them know that you are truly serious about doing business with them.

Customer support counts in the dropshipping business, so don't hesitate to contact dropshipping suppliers before you proceed to work with them.

This will help you decide if you really want to do business with a particular drop shipper or not.

To succeed in the dropshipping business you'll have to LOOK for hard-to-find products that people desperately need and want to purchase.

The key is to sell products with little or no competition.

Do some research for product's you want to sell that you think will have little or no competition on eBay.

I suggest you RESEARCH for quality products & legitimate dropship suppliers, MONITOR the eBay auction listings to see if there's any competition and TEST the market (e.g. find out if people really want to spend CASH on the product you want to sell)

Remember! Dropshipping makes it EASY for you to start and run your own home-based businesses on a shoestring budget; and eBay is the 'perfect' MEDIUM to expose your product to potential buyers all over the globe!

Ebay

If you peruse Ebay a lot, you'll see a lot of members selling website businesses. Often advertising these as "Tukey", they claim that the site has been making X dollars a month for the past X months. The businesses include expired domain name searches, online auction sites, credit repair sites, dating and adult sites, etc. Take a look at the current bids or prices - $1.99? What gives? If this site is making money, why would they want to sell it??? Here are some tips to help avoid buying a waste of time.

Take a look at the domain name. Do a Google search for it. Does it show up? Keep in mind how long the seller claims the site has been in business. Go to Inteic and do a Whois on the domain name...how long has it existed? Chances are less than a month.

Are there any bids on it? the number of bids is generally a good indicator on how legit this "business" is. If there's only 25 minutes left on the auction, and there is one bid for a very low dollar amount, this one's most likely a dog. If it is down to 25 minutes and there are 60 bids on it up to 500 bucks, it's most likely a keeper.

Proof of income. Some sites show a screen shot of their payment processor. Visit the website. Is the payment processor the same? For example, is the screen shot on Ebay from 2Checkout, and Paypal is the only payment method on the site? Smells fishy to me.

Most of these sites claim to be "100 Percent custom hand coded by experienced developers". Do some Googling for "website templates". Look through some of the places that offer web templates for sale. You will most likely run across the design of the website that is for sale. View the source of the site that's for sale - you may find that the seller forgot to remove the comment code that states that "This site was developed by " . There are actually websites that SELL tukey web businesses specifically for sale on Ebay, and they use these templates all the time, over and over again.

If you are still skeptical, email the seller with your questions. If this site is truly on the up-and-up, they'll be honest. If not, they'll dodge your questions like a bullet.

One more thing to consider: Often these sites will come with "Dirt Cheap Web Hosting", for something like $6.99 per year. Think about it - would a TRUE e-commerce site that was getting tons of traffic and sales rely on lowest-bidder web hosting? Nope.

Now, don't get me wrong - there ARE some good web businesses available from time to time on Ebay...but with the availability of so many free website scripts and templates, they seem to be few and far between. Caveat Emptor, my friends - let the buyer beware.

However, if you want to lea more about running a real ebay business and selling real goods and making good sales,

take a look at this site, "ebay auction software" to find some great tips

How To Use A WYSIWYG HTML Editor To Make Stunning Ebay Auction Listings

What kind of browser are you using for online surfing? Explorer, Netscape, Firefox, Opera?? Sure, all are good programs but I want to talk about an excellent program called Netscape. If you use Netscape, do you know that you also get an amazing WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) web design program called Netscape Composer for free? Basically you don't need expensive HTML editors anymore. The list of commercially available HTML editors software is endless – and the price tags are enormous. Most people don't want to spend a lot of money to get started with their eBay business. Fair enough, since the goal is to make money and not to spend money. So it makes perfect sense to use a program to design auction listings which is available for free. And such a program is Netscape Composer.

It has the same professional features like FrontPage or any other similar program. To design stunning and professional looking eBay auction sites with Netscape Composer you need to download Netscape first. If you start up the program, select File->New Composer Page and basically you can start immediately to design your auction listings. You can make you letters in any colour, bold, italics, use background colours (or even images) etc. The options are endless. You can save this file on your local hard drive as html file. I used to have one file for every listing I generate. The best thing is that once you have got a nice and professional looking eBay auction listing, you can use it for ever. Just open your last listing in Netscape Composer and edit according to your new item. Amazingly, this takes only a couple of minutes.

But how do you transfer your listing saved as a html file on your local hard drive to eBay? The answer is simple. Once you have logged in into your eBay account and selected your category and starting price you have to type in your "item description". Did you see that eBay allows HTML format? Have a look when you launch your next listing. That's the time where you go back to your new listing you just have created with Netscape Composer. Down the bottom of your Netscape Composer page you'll see a button called: SOURCE - the source code of your listing. Click on that and highlight and copy the entire text. Select then the eBay site and paste this text into the "Item description box". Make sure that all links are working and that all photos are uploaded to the inteet.

When you have finalised your listing you will be surprised. A stunning and professional looking "DIY-listing". You can always use "ready-to-go" auction templates and edit these according to your item. You'll see that with an professional auction design you can easily attract more buyers and get higher bids. It's worth the effort. Keep in mind that professional web design software is highly expensive and does the same job. Alteatively, you can choose from a huge variety of third party auction services doing the job for you. But hey, there are incredibly expensive too. Don't you think that the eBay fees are high enough and you can easily do it yourself without spending any additional dollars. It's really simple!

Dropship Wholesale Beware of Search Engine Results

Because Dropship and wholesale directories have becume so popular on the inteet many search results for related products can be scams. Do a search on Google.com for the search term "dropship wholesale" and you will get 962,000 results. The scary part is it's hard to know who you can trust online when you need a reliable directory of wholesale products.

Who is going to take your money and run? Who will deliver a high quality product that you know will give you results? Do they offer a guarantee and will they really stand by that guarantee and refund your money of the product isn't what you bargained for?

These are just a few of the questions you should ask yourself before investing in a dropship or wholesale directory on the inteet. Some more questions:

Have the companies within the dirtectory been contacted recently and are the phone numbers and addresses accurate and current?

Will the dropship compaines actually dropship products for me in my name?

Do I have to pay a Dropshipping Fee for products that the companies dropship?

Do the compaines within the directory actually have products on hand, or are they a "middle man" that will charge me more than factory or warehouse direct prices?

Such Middle men will many times claim to be an actual wholesale supplier of products, when in reality they get in between you and the factory or warehouse of products to take a cut into your profits.

Is the directory endorsed by a reputable company and not just the author of the directory?

Any dropship or wholesale directory that is advertised for sale should have an address, email and phone number for contact information. This should be a general rule of thumb for any product purchased on the inteet. If the above questions can't be answered on the website you should be able to contact the seller of the product and get your questons answered before you purchase.

As a general rule of thumb when looking for a dropship or wholesale directory remember you get what you pay for. If you pay a cheap $15.00 to $27.00 for a directory expect cheap results and poor customer service. A little higher priced item that has contact information will most likely result in a higher quality item and better customer service.

If you intend to use your dropship directory to actually make money or build a business on the interent you won't want cheap results. You want to invest wisely where you know your money will get results.

Maximize Your eBay Selling Potential

Many people believe that to be successful on eBay, all you have to do is login and put up a few auctions. They believe that their products will naturally sell because they're on ebay. This is definitely not the truth. If you want to have maximum success then you have to work at it, improve your business and most importantly, promote your auctions. In this article I will tell you of a few things that you can do to sell more items on ebay.

Promote your auctions with every listing. When you put up an advert for an item you should always include a link to your other auctions as in most cases the reader will click on it. When you make a listing simply add a link saying "Click here to check out my other auctions" or something similar. You then have the chance to show readers all your auctions and not just the one that they originally viewed.

Write informative articles. If you can write a good quality article and submit it to directories with a link back to your auctions, then hopefully readers will be interested in seeing what you sell. You should make your articles relevant to the products you sell on ebay and try to make it as helpful as possible. Any articles you write should also be submitted to ebay's guides and reports section as this will result in more exposure.

Make it easy for your buyers. When you sell an item you should make it as easy as possible for your buyer. Accept Paypal as most people use them to pay for items on the inteet, give every detail of your item in your listing so that readers do not have to ask you questions and they understand everything about what they are purchasing and deliver your item as fast as possible. If you sell digital products then you should definitely make delivery of your item automatic for instant download and if you sell physical products then get to the post office as soon as you receive payment. Doing these things will also keep your customers very happy and they may consider buying from you again.

When someone purchases an item from you, always send them an email thanking them for their purchase and include a link to your auctions in it. Hopefully the recipient will visit your auctions and make another purchase. This will also show professionalism and will let your customers know that you value their business.

Brandon Dupsky Makes 22 000 A Day On Ebay

These days itÂ's not easy to make money online. But I will talk about one of the easiest way to make money online is to start selling on eBay. eBay makes getting your new business started a snap. You can literally have your first moneymaking auction listed in the space of an hour. Absolutely ANYONE can start listing items for sale on eBay today. No initial starting costs, very low running costs and massive automatic visitors. Do you know that more than 2 Million people visit eBay every day ? eBay is -- by far -- the busiest and most visited e-commerce site on the entire Inteet, and more than 33% of ALL Inteet users in the U.S. visit eBay! People spend an average of 2 hours shopping on eBay every time they visit! And they've got cash to spend, since 72% of eBay users make more than $50,000 per year! eBay processes over $1,000 in sales every second! In other words, people spend a TON of money on eBay. That $1,000 per second adds up to $86,000,000 a day -- every single day of the year!

So, having these numbers in mind everyone should have success selling on eBay. But do you know that many eBay sellers struggle to make a profit. I mean a REL profit. eBay fees and paypal fees are higher than ever and the competition offering the same products as you do for a fraction of the price is massive. So how do you survive in the jungle called eBay ?

Let me introduce you to a regular guy (from Fremont, Nebraska, population 25,188) who is currently making $153,846.17 each and every week... by selling "everyday" stuff on eBay. Just to save you the math, that adds up to a little over $8,000,000 a year. Or just under $22,000 a day. Can you imagine that Â…? $22,000 A DAY (!) ?? In other words, it's a truckload of money -- no matter how you look at it! In fact, since he first got started on eBay back in 1999, Brandon has sold more than $20,000,000 worth of goods on eBay. Yep, you read that right... more than TWENTY MILLION DOLLARS.Unlike so many of the so-called eBay "success stories" -- Brandon's income does NOT come from selling super high-priced items on eBay -- like cars or satellites! (It's EASY to say you're making a MILLION DOLLARS if you're selling *cars* on eBay!

Brandon has put his knowledge into one amazing course so everyone can duplicate his entire system to start their own highly profitable eBay businesses!

This story is so amazing:

* Which products are "hot sellers," and guarantee the BIGGEST profits!

* Where to find in-demand products that you can buy for cheap and resell for massive profits!

* How to attract TONS of bids and make HUGE profits on every single auction you list!

* How to CREATE stunning ads that grab the eyeballs of eager bidders!

* How to easily rake in even MORE cash by establishing a glowing feedback rating!

* Techniques for driving 1,000s of qualified bidders to ANY auction listings!

... and much, MUCH more!

eBay and How to Buy Part 4 Payment Options

At one point in all of that shopping, you are bound to finally choose that all important item to buy on eBay. Once you found something, it is time to shell out the cash. eBay sellers offer a variety of options when it comes to payment and each seller has different policies. It is important to check the payment options before deciding to purchase from eBay. The largest percentage of auctions ended on eBay are paid for with Paypal.

Paypal, also an eBay company is a secure online payment processor and can be found in hundreds of sites online as well as eBay. Some online buyers won't even consider buying if the listing includes Paypal as an option due to the ease of online payment, quick processing and options galore. Through Paypal, a purchaser can pay using Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover or through eCheck out of your bank account. Any eBay seller who runs a business online with status, will usually accept Paypal as a form of payment. Paypal also offers both the buyer and seller insurance against theft or shipment fraud through their various programs making using their services more security oriented.

Some sellers will accept money orders or cashiers check. This allows the buyer who is not comfortable with sending credit card information out over the inteet, another option. You can get a money order or cashiers check, not just at a bank but at a variety of places, making them easy to get your hands on. This can be an option that has a longer lead time to get your item due to the mail transit time in the money getting to the seller. Most sellers will also give a deadline on how long they will wait to receive the money order and the buyer needs to be prompt with sending the money.

Other payment options such as personal check, merchant credit card processors or transfers are available from some sellers and other options can be available. It is important to make sure to read the auction before buying to make sure that your preferred payment method is an option. After payment, you just sit back and wait for your item to arrive.

Know What You too can be an eBay Powerseller

An eBay powerseller is an official designation bestowed by eBay upon those sellers who have reached a certain sales performance and have a high level of total feedback. To be named as an eBay powerseller, you have to achieve at least a 98% positive rating by other eBay users.

For a live example of an eBay powerseller, there's Ted Corriher, a home, garden and farm equipment dealer in Newton, North Carolina. When he started out four years ago, he didn't know much about computers or the inteet. He didn't even have a personal e-mail account.

During that time, all of his friends were buying on eBay, and he didn't want to be left out. He asked one of his employees to research about eBay and find out how he could sell his equipment on eBay. Now, three years later, he sells about $100,000 worth of equipment on eBay every month. His predominantly tractor-sales business has grown from $4 million to $10 million according to his annual sales.

Since joining to become part of the 147 million registered users on eBay, Corriher says that being an eBay powerseller has been a rewarding and enlightening experience for him. It also helped in reviving his grandfather's business. He has also started on business expansions.

For those of you wanting to be inspired, and become an eBay powerseller like Corriher, know that it's not impossible for a startup seller to reach the eBay powerseller level of achievement in a short time of 3 years, like Corriher did.

So, as you aim for the recognition of being an eBay powerseller, start focusing your energies first on being a better eBay seller. Here are ten tips that can help you to transform into a better seller.

Once you got this far, you already got the basics of eBay. However, there are several little, but significant things left that you may not have thought of trying, yet.

Some of these tips may go against other advices being given for eBay selling. Some are a little risky and some are just odd. But, there's no harm in trying, though. And you can easily discard the things you don't agree with and apply those you want to keep using.

1. Keep more records – even if it sounds time consuming, it would probably keep your job of tracking down cheques, delivery and shipping receipts and other such paper work, easier in the long run.

2. Post without payment – this might sound a bit risky, but it means that the buyers get their items more quickly than the usual process of waiting for payments to clear and be received. Do this ideally for small items, you might find it worth the occasional loss to give such quick service. Buyers would remember you for it.

3. Post every day – if you have started shifting on high volume items, posting them every day might help you satisfy your customers. By posting your items everyday, your customers will them quickly enough and thereby make them very happy, indeed. If you have items that are small enough to drop in a postbox, you might consider doing this.

4. Encourage an auction mentality. Entertain bidders by boosting them to place a bid on the product and not just buy quickly. However, make it very clear when it's the last or only stock you'll be getting in. Boost the bid winners' confidence more by referring to them as 'winners.'

5. Mention every defect your item has. Or better yet, have a good, truthful & detailed description of your item in the search results listing. By doing this, you build credibility and have buyers trust you. People bid more when they trust the seller.

6. Say how you got the item. This should also be part the detailed description you need to prepare. Say all, like the fun details of how you got hold of what you're selling. Providing this bit of information gives your auction character and, again, builds trust.

7. Accept odd payment methods. Be flexible on whatever forms of payment your buyer would suggest.

8. Don't be afraid to sell low. By occasionally letting an item go for a really low price to a good buyer, chances are you might be getting even on it. But, you have secured a buyer who'll come back again and again.

9. Give free shipping for a certain number of orders, or orders over a certain amount. Sometimes people buy some item they don't want, just because of the free shipping. Try it, it is an Amazon.com tactic

10. Ship worldwide. Be nice to inteational customers and get more market by this. Take time to investigate the prices. Just imagine how much your market will expand once you do worldwide shipping.

So, have you gotten the drift? In keeping up with how an eBay PowerSeller thinks, the best advice is this: don't opt for short-term gain with long-term risks.

In putting up a business, be serious and focused, look after your reputation, manage your selling properly and provide good customer service. Don't think ahead too soon for the times where you will reap rewards. Chances are, if you spend your time thinking up and doing ways that will help your business grow, your reward will just come to you in due course and out of the blue, too!

Then, finally you'll get a little badge next to your name that reads, eBay PowerSeller, which will make people trust you more!

eBay Profiting With Books By Janette Oke

Janette Oke is a Christian writer whose books about life, love, values and faith have a huge following among women today. Each of her Christian books for adults falls into one of six different series she wrote. These are:

  • Women Of The West
  • Love Comes Softly
  • Canadian West Saga
  • Season Of The Heart
  • A Prairie Legacy
  • Song Of Acadia (the books in this series were written with T. Davis Dunn)

While they show up at FOL and AAUW book sales, they are most often found at garage sales. They won't find them at every garage or yard sale you visit, but spend a moing on the yard sale circuit and you should come home with several of her book and not have paid more than $.50 for any of them.

You will find a lot of these on eBay but nearly all are sold as single titles and that's a big mistake. In order to make the cash register ring for you with her books you should buy them individually or in groups, hold them until you have a complete series, and then sell the series as one auction.

All information and pricing is for soft-cover editions which are by far the most common.

Here's a list of the books that make up each series:

Women Of The West Series (12 books)

  • The Calling Of Emily Evans *
  • Julia's Last Hope
  • A Woman Named Damarus
  • Roses For Mama *
  • They Called Her Mrs. Doc
  • Measure Of A Heart
  • A Bride For Donnigan
  • Heart Of The Wildeess *
  • The Bluebird and The Sparrow *
  • A Gown Of Spanish Lace *
  • Too Long A Stranger
  • Dreams Of Change *

* These six titles were re-written, with the same titles, for young girls (age 10 - 14) and published as the Janette Oke Classics For Girls Series. When buying these six titles be sure to check which series the book actually belongs to.

I've never found the Classics For Girls series to be a big seller and pass them up when I see them. You can try them if you'd like to though.

Love Comes Softly Series (8 books)

  • Love Comes Softly
  • Loves Enduring Promise
  • Loves Long Jouey
  • Loves Abiding Joy
  • Loves Unending Legacy
  • Loves Unfolding Dream
  • Love Takes Wing
  • Love Finds A Home

Canada West Series (6 books)

  • When Calls The Heart
  • When Breaks The Dawn
  • When Comes The Spring
  • When Hope Springs New
  • Beyond The Gathering Storm
  • When Tomorrow Comes

Season Of The Heart Series (4 books)

  • Springs Gentle Promise
  • Once Upon A Summer
  • Winds Of Autumn
  • Winter Is Not Forever

A Prairie Legacy Series (4 books)

  • The Tender Years
  • A Searching Heart
  • A Quiet Strength
  • Like Gold Refined

Song Of Acadia Series (5 books)

  • The Meeting Place
  • The Sacred Shore
  • The Birthright
  • The Distant Beacon
  • The Beloved Land

This last series continues under the name Heirs Of Acadia, but Janette Oke was no longer one of the authors and it isn't nearly as popular. It's the Janette Oke name that sells these books.

Mrs. Oke also wrote a series of 12 early readers for children called Janette Oke's Animal Friends Series. It's also a good seller when sold as a complete series. It's made up of the following titles:

  • The Impatient Turtle
  • The Prodigal Cat
  • Spunky's Dairy
  • This Little Pig
  • New Kid In Town
  • Ducktails
  • Prairie Dog Town
  • Trouble In A Fur Coat
  • Maury Had A Little Lamb
  • Pordy's Prickly Problem
  • A Cote Of Many Colors
  • Who's New At The Zoo

Here's some pricing information for each series from the last several months. The prices shown are the averages each series sold for.

  • Women Of The West - $36.78
  • Love Comes Softly - $42.17
  • Canadian West Saga - $13.19
  • Season Of The Heart - $12.03
  • A Prairie Legacy - $14.38
  • Song Of Acadia - $37.14
  • Animal Friends - $38.63

As you can see some series are more popular than others, but as long as you don't spend more then .50 each per book you will make money with any of them. Just list complete series, start them at $9.95 and let the bidders run them up.

Each of these series was also sold as a boxed set. If you find a set with it's box it will usually add a premium to the the final price.

eBay Arbitrage

What is arbitrage?

Put simply, arbitrage is the purchase of an item on one market for immediate sale on another market in order to profit from a discrepancy in the price between those markets.

Arbitrage is a term more commonly used in the worlds financial and securities markets where, for example, traders search out and take advantage of differences in currency prices between different county's currency markets.

In any situation where a difference in price of a product, service or item exists an arbitrage opportunity presents itself because it allows you to buy at the lower price and sell for the higher price making a profit in-between.

eBay arbitrage

So what does arbitrage have to do with eBay and how can you apply the concept to make a profit?

Every day, sellers list items on eBay in inappropriate categories or with poorly worded, incorrect or misspelled titles and descriptions. Due to the way that most people search for items on eBay (by entering keywords in the search box) these poorly listed auctions are hidden from the vast majority of buyers.

Given the sheer volume of auctions being listed and running at any one time, these poorly listed auctions are a constant source of potential arbitrage opportunities.

Lets take a look at the different types of arbitrage opportunities on eBay…

Misspelled titles and descriptions

Taking advantage of misspelled titles and descriptions is probably the most well known and popular type of arbitrage on eBay. These opportunities exist simply because people don't realise how important their auction title is to the success of their listing.

As we mentioned earlier, most people search for an item by entering keywords in the search box on eBay's main page. What most sellers don't realise is that eBay by default only searches the auction title and not the auction description as well. In order to search the auction description as well as the title the user has to use the "advanced search" option and check "search title and description".

Very few people know of this "feature" and even fewer take the time to use it.

To give you an example, searching just titles for the keyword "Playstation 2" today retus 10576 items but searching for "playstation 2" in titles and descriptions retus 59879 items.

This is not to say that there are almost 49000 arbitrage opportunities with "playstation 2" as a large proportion of these will be genuine items that simply don't have playstation 2 in the title, but it does prove that these opportunities exist and are there waiting to be found.

It really is a just a matter of common sense and simple maths; If a listing rarely gets displayed because the keywords in the title are misspelled then it simply isn't going to a lot of bids. The fewer the number of bids, the lower the final price of the item is going to be!

So how do you use this information to your advantage, and profit? Just search the listings for items with misspelled keywords in the title.

An easy way to do this is to use a free search engine designed to highlight these arbitrage opportunities such as http://www.ebooboos.com but you can just as easily search the listings yourself for misspellings. http://www.searchspell.com/typo/ is a free website that will generate misspellings for you based on keywords you enter. For instance, entering "playstation" gave me the following misspellings;

playstatiom, playstation, praystatiom, paystation, plystation, plastation, playtation, playsation, playsttion, playstaion, playstatin, pleighstatiom, preighstatiom, pleighstation, pleighstaton, preighstation, preighstaton, pleighstashon, preighstashon, pleighstashun, preighstashun, pleighstasion, preighstasion, praystasion, playstaton, playstashun, playstashon, praystation, praystaton, praystashun, praystashon, playstasion, pleighstachun, praystachun, preighstachun, playstachon, pleighstachon, praystachon, preighstachon, playstachun, p1aystat1on, playstat1on, playstatino, playstatoin, playstaiton, playsttaion, playsattion, playtsation, plasytation, plyastation, palystation, lpaystation, playstatio, laystation

ok, some of these are going to be way off the mark (pleighstashon for example) but these will give you a good place to start.

You don't have to search for each misspelling in tu, eBay allows you to use a sort of logical OR functionality in your searches by entering your keywords in parenthesis separated by commas, for example;

(playstatiom, paystation, plystation, plastation)

The only limitation here is that you must limit your entire search query to 300 characters.

Once you have found a potential arbitrage opportunity your next step is to investigate the typical final selling price of equivalent but correctly spelled items on eBay.

To do this you need to search the closed auctions for the exact same item as your potential arbitrage opportunity. Simply click "advanced search" from any screen, enter your description and check "completed listings only". Checking this box will only retu listings that have already ended allowing you to research completed auction prices for your item.

It's important not to search for exactly the same title when researching completed prices, particularly if the item has something like a model or serial number in the title, just search for the most obvious search phrase.

(If you find you are getting irrelevant results just use negatives in the search box to search for items that don't contain the word, for example "playstation 2 –controller" to search for all listings that contain the keyword "playstation 2" in the title but not the keyword "controller")

When analyzing the completed items it makes sense to ignore any closed auctions where the final selling price is considerably higher than the others. It's tempting to focus on these blips but these are exceptions rather than the norm so be sure to look at what the typical final selling price is, and base your potential final selling price on that.

You should always factor in the delivery charge into the final selling price of the item. A $20 item with a $5 shipping is essentially the same price as a $5 item with $20 shipping so when investigating your potential final selling price you need to take both figures into account.

Assuming you find equivalent items that sold on eBay at a price high enough for you to tu a profit you are in business. The only thing left to do is decide how much you are willing to pay for the misspelled item, including shipping then place your bid.

So the next question is when to place the bid?

If there are no other bids on the item then you should immediately bid the minimum amount, if there are already bids on the item then you should either wait until near the end of the auction to place your bid or use a sniping tool to bid in the dying seconds of the auction.

Why should you place a bid on the item if there are no existing bids? Simple. eBay only allows sellers to revise their items if there are no existing bids. If the seller realises he has misspelled a critical word in his auction and there are no bids then he can revise his listing and the arbitrage opportunity is lost. Placing the bid means the seller is locked into the auction.

This type of arbitrage is a numbers game – some you'll win, some you'll lose. There are lots of people out there searching for things like "playstaton", "pearl neklace" or "camra".

Cross Auction Arbitrage

Cross auction arbitrage is simple; you just look out for items on eBay that you can sell on other auction sites (or any inteet site that allows you to sell items.)

For example, many computer games sell on eBay at prices below what their used equivalents sell for on Amazon.com. The secret to success here is to place bids on lots of items (once you've researched their Amazon prices) you'll lose most but the few that you do win will make you a tidy profit.

Books are another potential cross auction arbitrage opportunity between eBay and Amazon.

Positioning

To explain how positioning works as an arbitrage strategy you need to understand the mentality of buyers and sellers on eBay.

When people are interested in either buying or selling a particular item they pretty much remain within their own specific market. For example, if you were a collector of antiques you would browse the "collectibles" categories looking for items to buy and likewise if you were a seller of collectibles you would list your items in the same category.

But as a seller there are other markets that are potentially open to you that many people just don't think of capitalising on.

To continue with the collectibles example, there are people out there who may be more interested in the specific subject matter of the item rather than its specific collectibility. Take old signs, aside from their potential value to a collector, these signs may be of a higher value to someone looking for something nice to hang on their wall!

All that is missing is you in the middle buying the items as a collectible and re-listing as an object of art!

The secret here is to list the item in the more appropriate category using keywords and phrases that would appeal to your new market – not the current market.

Favourite Searches

Almost nobody on eBay uses the favourite searches feature, but for those of us interested in finding arbitrage opportunities, it's a potential goldmine.

When you search eBay using keywords (the way most people search) and hit the search button you'll be presented with a link at the top right of your results labelled "add to favourite searches". When you click this link you'll be taken to the "add to my favourite searches" page which allows you to save this search for future use.

Now this is where it gets interesting – check the "email me daily" box and you'll get an email from eBay highlighting potential arbitrage opportunities as and when they are listed – you don't even need to search!

How to Survive the Jungles of Ebay Selling

Come with me, we are going to take a safari into the jungles of eBay selling, sometimes wrought with danger but most often rewarded with treasure.

Beware of non-paying bidders, beware of auction snipers waiting to try and steal your eBay auction at a very low bid, but welcome the loot you will receive selling outdated relics in your house for a small kings ransom.

Sell the heirlooms that even Salvation Army drop off center would tu their nose up at.

Upon our jouey we may encounter savvy eBay buyers lurking in the Inteet shadows and waiting to pounce like a ravenous lion on novice eBay sellers.

Slashing and cutting your path through the eBay sales jungle is no small undertaking, let me be your guide through this sometimes-perilous jouey.

Remember the moose head that was the family joke when we went to visit grandpa Jim at the cabin every fall. The very same moose head that now sits front and center in our family room. As this was the sum total of our inheritance as our dear grandpa passed last spring. Putting Old Grandpa Jims moose head up for sale and successfully selling it to a co farmer from Iowa for $300 was nothing short of a revelation.

Not only did the moose head eBay sale fulfill the farmer's dream of a big game trophy without firing a shot, but also it unloaded from our hands an item that was flat out rejected by our local charities.

After dropping the monstrous 400-pound beasts head at the UPS packing store counter my brother and I exchanged high fives.

We could only think of 1 word that would adequately describe the value of selling on eBay to our household PRICELESS!

One early Saturday moing, I was being dragged unmercifully by my mother to some local garage sales. Fumbling around in a near incoherent state I spotted on old wooden hand crank phone, it was marked for sale at $30 being in a fowl mood I haggled the sheepish sellers down to $10. Upon placing the old wooden hand crank phone up for sale on eBay a bidding war broke out on the old antique phone, even I was amazed at the final sales price of over $650.

On vacation with his wife and needing to kill some time as his spouse was getting her nails done, Robert wandered into thrift store that was located next door.

Robert spotted on the wall and old looking parchment with what looked top be foreign handwriting of some kind the document was priced at only $8 so Robert snatched up what he thought to be a valuable treasure.

Robert was a certified pack rat according to his wife, retuing next store his jubilation tued to dismay as his wife slowly shook her head with disgust as looked at the item he just purchased. She demanded he get rid of it immediately. Robert dejectedly took it home and decided to put it for sale on eBay. His wife's displeasure tued to glee as the $8 thrift shopped document item ended up selling for the ridiculous price of $2600.

Your Ebay selling safari can begin at your very doorstep

Look through you home for virtually any item you can live without There are quite literally rivers of diamonds flowing through your attic or garage.

Ebay has proven time and time again that one mans junks is another mans treasure so do not assume that your cracked Gia pet sitting on the back shelf of you closet will not make a woman in Kentucky's Gia pet colletion complete

There are some pitfalls and sand traps when selling on eBay

Beware of The dubious and cunning eBay sniper

The eBay sniper is a much feared eBay buyer; these villains have automated computer programs that will allow them to shoot a last second bid on sellers who have not priced their auction item correctly

The Ebay sniper is a buyer who preys on the new eBay seller. They look for mistakes such as misspellings in the title of the eBay or listed in the wrong category these simple mistake keep sellers away from your auctions allowing the sniper to target your auction and snipe it with a last second bid for a mere fraction of its value

There is another vaunted creature that is the scourge to eBay sellers.

The most hated creature in the eBay selling jungle. It is the NON Paying Bidder, these hyena like animals tu tale and run the minute you ask them to pay for the auction they just won. The non paying bidders are click happy creatures who often develop an acute sense of buyers remorse just minutes after winning you auction item. They have the ability to come up with a dizzying array of excuses as to why the cannot send payment such as their cat walking on the computer keyboard and inadvertently placing a bid on your item for sale.

Defeating the NON Paying Bidder:

It is quite simple, click on Ebay help button and enter the users Id, after 3 non paying bidder attempts the user will be sent to exile never allowed to roam the eBay jungle again.

Explore your house and unearth hidden items that you cannot quite bear to put in the trash but with eBay you can quickly convert to cash.

Farm the river of diamonds available to you from household relics, to your local thrift stores.

Keep an eagles eye out for any distinctive or one of a kind items you may purchase cheaply. As the path through the Ebay selling jungle becomes clear, you will be rewarded with sales and increased space in your home. Using this online marketplace to eliminate unwanted clutter and tu it into cash is the treasure at the end of our great jouey through the eBay wilds.

Design Tips For Ebay Templates

Templates are the design elements that you might have noticed some sellers using on their auctions, like the borders around the edge, and the different fonts. Many sellers who are new to eBay donÂ't bother using them, and you might not have either – generally, a descriptive listing and a good picture will do the job just fine.

If you want to really finish your auctions off and make a really good impression on your buyers though, itÂ's useful to have a good template. Here are a few tips on what to do and what not to do.

Choose something appropriate. The most important part of your template is what you choose in eBayÂ's listing designer (in step 3 of the Sell Your Item process), or the equivalent in whatever listing software youÂ're now using. You might prefer to use third-party software for this, as eBayÂ's designs can be somewhatÂ… unimpressive.

Anyway, the different template designs will usually be themed, with names like Â'ComputersÂ', Â'ToysÂ' or Â'CraftsÂ'. Make sure what you choose is appropriate for what youÂ're selling – those flowers might be very pretty, but what exactly do they have to do with DVDs?

Put the photo at the top. The photo of your item is far more important than the text. Put your best photo at the top of the description, followed by the text, and then finally any extra pictures you have. The full-size photo of the item is the first thing your buyers want to see when they click your auction – why leave it for last?

Add your logo. A well-designed logo gives a professional air to your auctions, especially if the colour scheme and look fits in with the rest of the template, and it also serves to create more recognition when people have seen your auctions before. Pay a logo designer a few dollars to do you a logo if you donÂ't have one already.

DonÂ't be afraid of large fonts. Fonts are supposed to be different sizes sometimes. When you have something important to say, donÂ't be afraid to put it in a bigger font, headline-styleÂ… just as long as you donÂ't get carried away, of course.

Lea a little HTML. It might sound scary, but there are plenty of books out there about leaing HTML, and a little goes a long way. Once you know what youÂ're doing, youÂ'll find all sorts of ways to make your auction look better – youÂ'll be able to put complicated information in a table,

Preview your listing. Remember to click that Â'Preview listingÂ' button to see what everythingÂ's going to look like when it goes live. Good luck!

One of the best things you can put into your auction template to make it more appealing to buyers is something called a Â'SquareTrade sealÂ'. This seal is a promise that you will handle any disputes using SquareTrade, an independent dispute resolution service. WeÂ'll take a closer look at what it is and how to get one in the next email.

Killer Ebay Tps 2

Ebay tips. Part 1 Please remember this is only a small amount of info that is shown in our EBAY VIDEO TUTORIAL
This can be viewed at www.onlineebooks.net

Do you know what one of the biggest money makers on ebay is?
Do you know that is has nothing to do with the auction you are selling?

That's right, can you think of it?
The answer is the about me page, that's right. Let me say it again,
The About Me Page.

This one page is the key to making alot of extra money from ebay.
Every visitor to your auction is a customer. They come to your
auction, have a look at it, then they decide if it interests them, then they either
buy it or leave. Why not try to sell the visitor that is not interested in your item,
an item that they are interested in.
Now the best way to do this is to use the about me page.

The key is getting the visitor to the about me page, if they don't want the item.
How are you going to do that ?
Ask yourself this: What is the best price for something ?
What is the number one clicked on advertising word ?
The answer is FREE. The best price for anything is FREE.

So how do you use this for the about me page.
Well the first thing you have on your auction is a little headline or statement
basically saying "Just for taking a look at our auction we are giving away .....
Click here to find out how to receive it" . Then have the link to your about me page.
This in my experience is the best way to getting traffic to your about me page.

Once you have the visitor on your about me page what do you do with them ?

Once they are on the page you are basically trying to sell them something more,
or get them to go to your web site for a different product.

How are you going to get them to read your add if they are looking for the free
product ?

A good way of doing this is have the free product at the bottom of the page with
a statement at the top stating "To get your free ... please scroll down to the bottom
of the page". This way they have to scroll past the ads and graphics and hopefully
something will grab there attention.

So let say the visitor doesn't buy your auction , doesn't go for your other products on your
about me page and just downloads the free product.
So what dp you have in retu for all your work?
Nothing right ? No money, no sale.................. or do you have something ?

If you set it up correctly you will have something. Something that could be worth
alot of money. There email address !!!!!

In the video we go threw how you set this up so that it is fully automated.

How To Get Bids On Your Auctions

Getting bids on auctions on Ebay or Yahoo can be challenging . To get bids on your auction first you must research the item you are about to list. This is quite simple - just do a search on closed auctions. Ebay and Yahoo auctions let you do this on their site. Look at all the prices the item closed at as you will want to start your bidding at the lowest price at which an item closed. If you want to add a "buy it now" option, choose any price between the highest price closed and the lowest price.

Next, take a look at the items that did not get a bid, notice what they did wrong and then look at the auctions that got bids and notice that they did right. Use this to your advantage. Make your headline similar to a winning headline and use the same area the winning item was listed.

Next, and this is a most important tip, when writing your description ,write it as if you're trying to sell an item to your friend. Give the condition and tell the benefits of them having your item. Now for shipping, keep the price reasonable and say that you ship out within 2 days and offer tracking. To really get bids, list yours as a featured item, but this will cost extra. Also take some good pictures so that who ever sees your auction can view the item, as if they were looking at it in person. Take your picture in a good lighting and tu the flash off because it can cause glare. You can take you picture outside or, if your item is small get a desk lamp and adjust it so that it shines on your item. A good background like a poster would help too. The more pictures you take the more confident the bidder will be in bidding on your auction.

Offer more than one payment method. The more options you offer the more bids you will get. Try to start your auction on such a day that it will end on the weekend because shoppers will have a chance to see and bid on it. If you have past customers, tell them about your new auctions. They already know you and have done business with you. You can also offer something free to the winning bidder of your item.

A money guarantee can help you get lots of bids too. Make sure to let everyone know they are ordering through a secure server for credit card payments. And if you have past ebay customers write in your item listing that potential bidders should view your feedback from all the other Ebay members. If you have great comments from your past customers then this will help.

Don't use reserve auctions - people get discouraged trying to figure out the reserve cost.

If you follow all these tips you should be getting bids to all of your online auctions.
